Mythic Employees Shocked at Mark Jacobs' Departure

A former Mythic employee spoke out recently about Mark Jacobs' departure from EA Mythic after the newly formed Mythic and Bioware studio announcement yesterday. The unnamed source told Massively:

I can't even fathom Mark leaving a company he loved so much, it was his life. Personally, I can't see that this is voluntary in any shape or form.

The source went on to tell Massively that the team at Mythic is looking forward to working with the team from Bioware and that the move was best for both companies.

I would love it if Bioware shook things up with WAR. I loved the game but there was always something missing. Never quite enough to keep me there. As far as Mythic messing up SWTOR, I'm not too worried. If Mythic made terrible games then I would be worried, but they don't, so I'm not. Collaboration is a good thing.

well, ya know... MJ was solidly against having official forums for all those years, because of his fear of the real life death threats (via those forums) to him and his employees...

maybe his fears came true?
