Default LOTRO Volume 2: Book 8: Scourge of Khazad-Dûm Now Live

Turbine has officially released its latest update for The Lord of the Rings Online aptly titled, "Volume 2: Book 8: Scourge of Khazad-Dûm". The latest update continues the epic storyline to track down Gorothúl, sorcerer of Dol Guldur. Along with the storyline advancement, Turbine has also added the new Summer Festival, crafting changes, and a host of new and updated content.

Quote:
The plans of Gorothúl, sorcerer of Dol Guldur, begin to be made clear as ancient evils stir again in the depths of Khazad-dûm. Small fellowships must form to combat this emerging threat before the hopes of the Iron Garrison and the Elves of Lothlórien are ended by the darkness. The story of The Mines of Moria continues with new quests and challenges!
Read the patch notes here.

im really surprised they put this content out considering how long it took them to release it. Too many bugs, more of the same for the epic book, and i really mean more of the same if youve gotten to the end of book 6. If the content doesnt get better than this I will be shopping for new mmo's. I expected more from Turbine but supposedly most of the true masterminds that originally made the game are no longer working on lotro. That explains why quality has gone down.

Yeah I know how ya feel, I recently tried to return to LOTRO for bk.8 but decided that I didn't want to and reported my card as stolen so pending charges wouldn't go through.

Pre-MoM, LOTRO was great, but even though Turbine did an amazing job designing Moria, everything else has severely suffered, especially the crafting!

If things don't change and continue down this path of crap, bugs, and extremely easy solo mode then I'll never return! Although with FFXIV launching next year I'm pretty sure I won't be playing anything but that for a very long while!
