Brad McQuaid's website has been updated (it sort of disappeared for a while) and it looks like he might be getting ready to dip his foot in the MMO pool again.

After the sale, Brad decided to take an extended break from games development and is currently pursuing his hobbies and spending time with friends and family. That said, as of late, he’s starting to get that itch again...
If he doesnt make the same mistakes he made while developing and launching, and then selling it to Satanic Online Enthrallment... he might. Depends on what he tries to make.

I know I still am. I was a tester for VGSOH and that game had massive potential but brad just couldn't seem to get it together. Then, wham!! sell out! Bahh, I don't know if I can have any more faith in him or not to produce a quality game. He tried to turn Vanguard into an EQ2.

If he went back to a strictly designer job, I'd give him my support. Anything with "executive" or "producer" in the title would make me more leery though.
Oh, no. I just knew that when they made that EQ documentary, and they interviewed Brad, the rock star gamer bug would bite him again. (That bug bite probably caused the itch Annatar spoke of.)
I'm afraid he's lost a huge amount of credibility with a number of gamers. The whole Vanguard fired-in-a-parking-lot scenario cheesed off more people than just the 50 or so Sigil employees who got the boot. That plus all the rumors that circulated about him essentially abandoning the project and...well, I won't get into it. The rumors are easy enough to find if you look.
I am interested to see what Brad McQuaid will do next, though. I can't deny the morbid curiosity.
