Default S.T.A.R. Labs Demo with Jens Anderson
As the only established super hero universe coming to the MMO market in the near future, Sony Online Entertainment's DC Universe Online has already established a fairly fanatic following. At E3 2009, Ten Ton Hammer's Garrett Fuller got another chance to chat with developer Jens Anderson who talked in-depth about the state of the game and gave the team a nice demo run. Highlights of this video include an encounter with Solomon Grundy, Bizzarro Superman, Joker, Harlequin, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and a few more.

Good video and some nice looking combat. However, that death penalty (or lack there of) made me grunt.

Really, it's a pure action game, with some MMO progression tacked on. It's not an RPG. So, death penalties really wouldn't be fitting.

One major thing I saw that needs to be corrected is the size of the UI in both PC and PS3 mode. Those icons at the bottom of the screen take up waaay to much real estate. But all in all everything is coming along well..
