Default Jumpgate Evolution E3 2009 Trailer

Even though the launch of Jumpgate Evolution was recently delayed, it's hard not to get excited about NetDevil's space combat MMO game. To help whet our appetites, NetDevil brought a new game trailer with them to E3 this year. This promotional short can be found along with ten tons of other E3 content at Ten Ton Hammer's E3 2009 Coverage.

Check out the video teaser here.

As always, I'm really digging the visuals for this game. This particular video certainly has me itching to dive into JGE to see how many ships I can take out in those massive battles!

JGE better launch at least 6 months before SWTOR if they want me to try it.

Yea I agree, that was a spectacular video. This game just keeps looking better. The delay was a double-edged sword but most likely needed. This is the next game for me when it releases and I just wish I could get picked for a beta spot.

I would say that they are two completely different games. JGE is very action-oriented, almost...dare I say...twitchy game. It is not your father's MMOG. I'm sure SWTOR will also be more combat action than traditional MMOGs, but they are completely different genres - SWTOR is a character avatar with more of an RPG look to it, while JGE seems to be more of a ship based shooter. The only similarity is that they are both in space.

I think you are right though - MMOGs are very difficult to split time amongst, so any new game has to tear me away from what I am playing, and heaven forbid they go up against the all mighty Star Wars. I'm an addict for new games, I'll try them both.

I meant money wise, I couldn't afford both if they launch close together.

I hear ya. I'll probably have to let WoW lapse when SWTOR drops.
