Heh, I was there for LB's assassination and I have to say that OSI over reacted. There were a huge number of major bugs in the game and many were there to protest that OSI were releasing before fixing them, so I and my friends at the time, really enjoyed seeing him die

But the inccidents in the article are very much a rose tinted view of it all, they all pale in comparison to modern hacks, like this one in Darkfall.

For me, the most famous bad behaviour in an MMO was in original Everquest, with Fansy's famous trains (level 5s couldn't be pked, but they could run trains over your head):

The lord british thing.. a bit over the top from the dev's, rather funny though.

Blizzard have always been a bit heavy handed in the being serious and taking things too far department, they'll happily rip you a new one any time they feel like it if you don't play the game how they want you to.

The EULA is a bit of a scarey idea when you view it in this light, I've never really read it but i'm half expecting there to be new clauses come in that make you have to be white, straight, blond haired and a true believer in the fatherland's might. Heil!

Well.. maybe not.. but you wonder how far they would go with this EULA.
