After spending four years with the Ten Ton Hammer network, Tony "RadarX" Jones is moving on. His destination is Tucson, Ariz., where he's taking over the Community Manager position at Sony Online Entertainment's studio, the same studio that released the well-received Pox Nora online miniatures game. In this article, the Ten Ton Hammer staff looks back at Radar's many years with the team, and the many lives he influenced in the process.

It was on a late September evening a lifetime ago in Internet years (2005), fittingly at an SOE community summit, where I first bumped into Tony. EverQuest 2 was a huge part of our network at that point, and I was looking for someone to take over the site. Through a fuzzy alcohol haze, I discovered that mild-mannered, even-keeled Tony had the knowledge, skill, and especially the sense of humor necessary to be our EQ2 lead.
Tony's a great guy and was responsible for training me when I started here on the LotRO site. He will be missed, but I wish him the best over at SOE. It's a job I feel he is well suited for. However, I feel sorry for Coyote. That's like stripping Tonto from the Lone Ranger. I'm not sure what he's gonna do without his trusty sidekick.

I just want to add my two cents about how awesome Tony is.
He brought me on board with TTH waaaay back in the day working on EQII. Eventually, I ended up working at SOE as the CM for... that's right, EQII.
I wouldn't be where I am without Tony. He got me started down this road and he's been one of my closest friends for the last five years, and hopefully for the rest of my life.
I confess that I've been lobbying for a while now, for SOE to steal him away. I'm overjoyed that we have. He's going to be a wonderful addition to the Community Team here at SOE.
I only worked directly with Radar for a bit on WAR. But when I did, it was a pleasure. Compared to the slave-driver that is Machail (I keed, I keed), Tony was a joy to work with.
I look forward to pestering you at the SOE boards soon, man.
Congrats Tony! You've always been a pleasure to speak with, and I had fun with you on that interview for TabulaCast all those years ago. You deserve this and I hope it's a wonderful new direction in your life.
Since this is Tony's dream job I suppose I can live with him leaving.
Just remember Boss... No matter what happens, I promise to sell Coyote to finance the ransom money for when you get kidnapped. I think he'd fetch more on the flesh market anyway.
