I actually played this game for a couple weeks before switching to WoW in June of 2005. I had gone to Germany in March of 2005 and my friend was playing it there and of course being a superhero/comic book fan I liked the idea. When I got back to the states I upgraded my computer and bought the game.
What is funny is how little I understood about the game and MMOs in general. I liked the tank character because how big and imposing they were but thought the idea of a taunt ability was pretty stupid. I didn't understand aggro and so forth. The issues I had with the game were that above about level 8 I could not solo very effectively, but then again supergroups and alliances were a foreign concept to me. I knew my friend was on a server but I thought they were all just portals to the one same world. I know it has changed some but my friend had about four level 50 toons but said once you got to 50 there was not a lot of endgame stuff to do.
I did like the game and going back I think it would be fun to play due to the changes in the game but the major issue is that no one I know plays it and as with many MMOs they are a lot more fun in groups...but I am glad to see the game doing well after 5 years.
