I think part of hell just froze over... I agree with Peta. To a very tiny extent. Its just a game I know, youre preaching to the choir. But it could also be argued that Blizz is condoning such actions as seal clubbing.
It wouldnt be such a horrific practice if they would kill the seals first. Instead the bash them over the head and skin them alive. Its just disgusting. And Ive had fantasies about hiding in the snow and picking off the hunters... >.>
Yeah my imagination is violent. lol
However, PETA is still a bunch of nazis with a head full of loose screws. If they are going to protest the seal clubbing, then they should be consistent and protest the entire game... how many millions of pigs, cows, squirrels, birds and other critters have been virtually slaughtered over the past 5 years in wow? lol

I doubt that Blizz has sanctioned this event or anything, so I suspect it will likely devolve into:
1) The PETA people harassing anyone in the zone.
2) A group of players intentionally killing all the seals they can when non flagged.
3) People petitioning because of harassment.
4) people like me linking both [D.E.H.T.A.'s little P.I.T.A.] and [Hemet Nesingwary: The Collected Quests] for a while.
You can't campaign for the ethical treatment of animals with one hand, and advocate/condone the harassment and/or assault of human beings with the other. You don't see the SPCA running around like nutjobs performing acts of what essentially borders on social terrorism.
Ppl read what peta really wants. The want to:
1. Have NO house hold pets, wanting dog/cats to be nuetered so as to have the breeds die out within one generation.
2. Want animals(including bugs and bacteria) to have "human" rights
3. Have no problem killing humans to get this point across.
Final note: they kill alot of animals in their shelters everyday. Guess once again ideas of lefty organizations only apply to others...

You are exactly right. My dad emails me all kinds of strange crap they do to 'better the animals', or some sh1t.

Basically: PETA isn't a 'lefty' group, they are a 'nutjob' group.
Peta is a left group. Left leaning ppl believe in this cause and donate to it. ALOT of left leaning ppl not just nutjobs. Most right wing ppl are religious (nutjobs in their own right) and do not donate to white power groups. Before you make moral equation to groups, think a little deaper than that.
