What can players expect to find in the massive world of Vanguard?

It's been quite some time since the Ten Ton Hammer crew gave a report on the state of Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, and what better place to do so than this week's edition of Forever Fantasy? Few games come to mind that had more of a rough start than Vanguard, but time has been kind to the game and its improvements from opening day are vast indeed. Join Dalmarus as he takes a look at why the current state of the game is still one of the best kept secrets in the industry.

Great write up Dalmarus! I REALLY wish I had time to dedicate to two games and I would be back in Telon in a heartbeat... especially now that I have a rig that can run it and run it well.

lol great read, made me give the game a try for the first time since I stopped playing in open beta. Loved it, subscribed and am waiting for the rest of the game to download now lol. I rolled a half elf warrior on Xeth and I'm really excited to get out into the bigger world : )

You're an evil evil man Dalmarus...great write up. I wish I had the time to try out Vanguard because it does sound like it is coming around but I barely have enough time for WoW as it is. However if down the road I can check out the game I definitely will give it a look. It is kind of funny in that the game is much more PVE focused and exploration is a large portion of the game....something definitely attractive for this.

I'm still subbed, but not logging in as much as I would normally with an MMO. Simply because there is a population disparity, as I'm leveling up a new character I've found that there simply aren't enough people to group with regularly and I really don't like soloing.

Will be fun once I get to 50 with this character though.

WE NEED more comments/write ups and articles on Vanguard rather than the 1 or 2 we get every year from TTH (or so it seems).

Frankly, I'm tired of hearing about WoW overpulls/tactics or walkthroughs. WoW is doing fine without TTH's lips being attached to its butt.

There are a lot of good games out there, so instead of writing a couple of articles then burying the game on the back burner, talk/comment/blog/post about Vanguard as often as you do for WoW, EVE, eq2 etc.
