Setting a New Bar for F2P? - The Impact of Atlus Online
Ralsu to Atlus: "No Pressure or Anything."
News of the formation of Atlus Online has Ten Ton Hammer's F2P guru, Danny "Ralsu" Gourley, excited. He's been playing console games published by Atlus for almost two decades and has come to expect solid translation and a healthy dose of attitude. He tells readers why Atlus taking over Neo Steam is such a big deal:
Quote:
Without a doubt, Atlus will fix the translation problems in Neo Steam, and it looks like the company aims to go one step further and really rework the game.
This post reserved for some Ten Ton Hammer staffer who says, "But I don't care about single player RPGs. How do we know Atlus can translate their skill in RPGs to MMOGs?"
I'm not sure anything they do will make Neo Steam anything other than average, which is what it already is. Its a very nice setting though, would like to see more games take the whole steam punk thing and run with it a bit more.
It seems like they will do a good job. These are the things I hope they work on-
Translation- They will definitely do this
Character Customization- They need to allow male and female characters play all classes. It adds twice the customization options.
I would also like it if they sharpened the character models a little.
