I really dont care about the distinction between MMO or whatchahmahcallit online game.
Hellgate London was fun it its own way, repetive over time but fun for the quick gaming fix in breaks.
Fabula Phrasa would maybe have been fun, if the infamous "they" would have followed the first designs with a bigger focus on skill base and evolving weapons and whatnot.
Like Horizons would have been better if the first designs would have been enabled.
Many games get toned down in early stages, just to become stale plae shadows of something "that would have been, if..."
Why games get toned down, yeaa time for development or wrong targetgroup analysis...no money...no idea....no clue...no time at all and much more.
It sucks, but thats how it is....its always easy to sit fat and allknowing in the armchair while blabbering about the "what ifs" and looking back with the arrogance of the "told ya so" viewpoint.
Damit, Hellgate
was fun
