The SWG forums are far worse than the darkfall forums, while on the Darkfallforums you got a load of flames, abusive language and morons you will encounter dimwited whiney hypocrits on the SWG forums.
I dont say that holds true for everyone over there, but for a lot of them.
Moronic hypocrit idiots grrrr <not even worth a smiley>

Kudos to TTH for putting this together. As much as I wish it weren't necessary, I'm still glad for the opportunity to help the families who've found themselves in such an unfortunate situation.

Sadly, this is already being called a scam on the SGW forums.
Did you ever notice that scam backwards is Macs? Take that Apple lovers!
From the sounds of it though, the couple of people who've posted their doubts about the situation in that thread so far apparently haven't seen the official response about it yet. Hopefully they'll get pointed in the appropriate direction so that the discussion won't get derailed entirely.
I guess most people, me included at first, did read too quickly and perceived the mention of the premium membership as taking advantage of the situation.
/me slap myself
That being said it seems you already know which families need help or is this still under discussion? How were they chosen?
Im confused about this the SGW community managed has said and i quote from his post.
"This specific event that TenTonHammer is running is not supported by us and we are in no way affiliated with its terms and conditions. We are not accountable for the destination of any donations that they may receive for this event."
so what do the people over at TTH people have to say since the games own community manager has denied involvment in this?

CME is not involved in it, and we did not suggest they were. Ten Ton Hammer is wholly responsible for handling the funds collected and making sure that they get to the CME families who need them (or to a children's charity if CME employees are paid before the holidays). This page explains that.

Please note: The CME Kids holiday fund is in no way affiliated with Firesky or Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment. Since these donations will go to individuals rather than a registered charitable organization (that is, unless the donations go to Ronald McDonald House Charities instead) these gifts are not to be considered charitable donations for tax purposes.
Either you trust Ten Ton Hammer to handle the funds appropriately (and I assure you we will), or you don't. Making that determination is entirely up to you.
