How do healers get gold bags in Keep battles?

I play a T3 Shaman and he is fully heal speced. Current level is 28 and 26 renown. It seems to me it is always the dps classes that end up with the gold bags on a keep offensive battles. I was wondering if anyone could give me an insight as to what I need to do to get into the top 3 roll spots as a healer. I'm only asking cause I would like to get my Robefings for the class set.

pure blind luck.......pray for your rolls to be 900+ and everyone elses to be sub 300.

cast your damage buff every time it resets. This with group heals can get you to the top.

There is a lot of theory it's just random who gets it. I've seen people thrown off the Keep and dead for 90% of the battle get top spot.

It seems to be totally broken, I have seen a guild member join us as the keep lord went down, without doing any damage whatsoever, and get top contribution, and roll 900+ to get a gold bag. I personally have healed my butt off and come somewhere near the bottom in contribution, and on another occasion hardly done anything because the keep was zerged by more than one group, and come top.

As a previous poster said PURE LUCK.

That being said we pure heal types get the lowest bonus and have to hope for the highest roll to make up for it.

My best advice... try to take a keep away from the zerg with a smaller group. I have not seen gold yet in T4 but I have gotten a few greenies. Though I'm a DoK all I do is heal during the Lord fight so I may as well be a healer. But yeah, it's pretty much a crap shoot =\

I've had the same experience. I'll play the same way with the same group in two different keep raids and end up on completely different ends of the contribution list. The good thing is that even with low contribution I managed to get a piece of my RvR armor set. Just make sure to throw in a few DoT's, so that you aren't just relying on healing to net you points. Just keep fighting!

When healers heal in scenarious and PQ:s they recieve points (so to speak). However in keep sieges they do not. Healers can work their but off healing (I know I have, during atleast 10 sieges) and can only hope for a really good roll to recieve a golden bag.

So I hope that healing will start to count after a future patch. Until that will happend I will for sure think twice before participating in keep-sieges with my healer.
