Re Slayers: no, that was just a musing by one or two on the forums. To die gloriously therefore restoring honour to the clan name and saving further generations from shame is what the slayer is largely about. Ongoing arguments as to why or why not to have them, read the hundreds of posts
Re Cities: I'm in 2 minds. Part of me loves the idea of having a "home." A place where races can chew the fat and build that sense of community. I would still love to see Guilds named after warbands or cults in game, like the "Snakebites" and "Bad Moons" etc. Seeing a see of green or warped faces would be awesome, as would mini dwarf armies and the like.
The other part of me feels that the game just isn't big enough atm to have this exculsivity. Guilds need to be multi-cultural just to get the numbers and the balance with lack of certain racial classes. Cities would also be even more desoloate on all but the highest pop servers.
EDIT: Evil Moons - Bad Moons was the 40K version. /facepalm
