Default Player vs Player Exploiting: The Nature of Winning
The Age of Conan community has recently been dealing with this reality of gaming and it seems that exploiting shakes every aspect of the game for every player.

What is it about gaming that inspires this distasteful behavior in gamers and is there anything at all we can do to combat it? I touch upon these topics and a few others regarding exploits in Age of Conan in this editorial: The Nature of Winning.

Excellent editorial.

Totally agree (as many who posted about this on TTH, AoC Forum, others) -- if if feels wrong, if it's just too good to be true, chances are it is an exploit and it's cheating.

One thing that I was pretty pleased about regarding this specific incident was how vocal players were about it. I got a ton of e-mails myself, plus all the forum posts, and in game chatter..

It sorta makes one wonder why a cheater would want to put themselves through the public humiliation of pulling this crap to begin with.
