Concerning comfort, the Creative headphones ranked right up there among the top headsets I have ever worn. The plush, velvety ear wraps and head cushion were like enjoying the comforts of a Las Vegas spa. The compression for the headphones was just about right, and the inclusion of the travel bag was a nice addition for those gamers that are constantly on the go and don't want to ruin the cloth coverings.
I bought this headset about 2 months ago, and OMG, they're freaking awesome! Finally, someone had the brains to make a microphone cable wrapped in a metal mesh. This thing isn't remotely close to flimsy. The headset is also uber comfortable.
Disturbingly, the headphones sound better than the 5.1 surround sound speakers I had gotten 3 or 4 years ago.

I love the majority of Logitech's products, but I never found a headset of theirs that were comfortable. And that behind the neck set they made awhile back? Dear gods, who the hell let that POS out of R&D?!

I haven't tried a Logitech headset - in fact most of the time I combo'd a nice set of headphones with a desktop mic. That said, Creative sold me with their awesome mic setup, and the sound quality isn't half bad either.

Y'mean.. the very same round the back of the head ones that I've been using this past year or so and am only now thinking of replacing (with something v similar) JUST so as I get something new and shiny?

Most likely, yep. I'm sorry, but that was the most awkward and uncomfortable headset I've ever used in my life, hands down. Let's just say I was a little more than peeved after I bought them, LOL. If someone our there loves them though, more power to you. I just hadn't met a single soul that had
