Have you ever wanted to change the sex of your character? I know a number of people who have made an alt that they never intended to play and made that alt a sex they wouldn't normally play or a crazy name. Zu Online announced today that players can now get metamorphic clothing to change the sex of the characters.
Zu is an anime graphic style of game so the characters typically have that anime mono-sex look anyway so i'm not sure this is a huge change. Could you see this being a big hit in this game or others?
Meh, if people want to. Some games let people change names and hairstyles already.
What I'd like to see are characters being givena choice between the male/female version of clothes/armour on quest rewards. That could get interesting.

Meh, I wouldn't mind it being an option in games.
If you look on the technical sides of things though it would be the equivalent of letting the player have a major cosmetic change. After all they would not want to be just switched to the opposite sex with a random appearance, they'd need to go through the looks part of character creation again. This may be a technical problem in some games. If that can be sorted, sure, why not.
Why not indeed? It'd be breaking the barriers for a legitimate gaming demographic in the same way as when Shadowman and GTA Sand Andreas put a black man as the playable character in two popular gaming franchises.
