Patch 3.0.2 has arrived and is installing as I write this. Fire up WoW as early as you can to download the remaining files and install the update. This way you'll be ready when maintenance is over. It's a long install, you're reinstalling WoW.
I Love My Internet Provider :P Just Downloaded the 1.2GB patch in under 1 minute, installation taking a bit long tho...So is this the day we get some of the new stuff like talents?

I just finished reinstalling and opened up WoW to be treated to the opening cut-scene to TBC (I found it ironic since we're on the edge of a new expansion) and found the log-in screen different. Rather than the Dark Portal and red buttons, it was a view of Icecrown Citadel in the background with ramparts in front and skeletal dragons flying around, including one that lands right next to the login information and roars. Very cool. Also, all the buttons are now an icy blue.
I parked my toon on the dock in Stormwind canal last night where they're blowing up the wall. Looking forward to logging in later and seeing the harbor (which, from Beta, is magnificent). I was hoping they might have some kind of animation of the wall being blown up.
I haven't been able to pre-download the patch cause for some reason the downloader wouldn't initialize after I closed WoW like it said it would. So I figured I would have to wait till after the maintnance to DL the patch. Now everyone is saying they have been installing the patch.
Now I'm thinking I should have started my computer and started the DL while I am at work. Instead, now I'm going to have to go home at 5pm and start the DL and wait for it to load. My Internet is horrible, so I expect slow download and maybe a disconnect or two during DL.
Grrrrrrrrr, I'm pissed.
I guess I'll see everyone online MAYBE tomorrow or Thursday depending on when I can install the patch.

Im so happy. I convinced my husband to download and install the patch so I can play it when I get home from the gym after work. I only get about 2 hours of play time on weekdays and didnt want to have to wait for it all tonight. When I asked him to do it for me last night he said he wasnt going to be an enabler to my addiction. To which I had to remind him that he had already pre-ordered the expansion.
Went home for lunch and installed the patch. I ate a sandwich while it worked. Love the new blue login screen. Much cooler than the other one. Now I have to decide the order in which I respec my toons and who I try out first once we can all log back on. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
