If you haven't been paying attention to the MMOG industry lately, you may have missed the gradual progression of a new massively multiplayer game coming out of Europe titled Runes of Magic. Thankfully, the Ten Ton Hammer staff is here to help, and we've recently obtained a nicely constructed trailer for you to watch along with several corresponding screenshots. We've even translated all of the in-video subtitles for you, so take a seat and enjoy the video!
Page Offline atm it says. But, I hunted down some other videos and I think it doesn't look all that bad. It's got a bit of a WoWish feel to it I think, but plays a bit slower. Not my cup of tea personally, but it looks interesting.

Fixed! Please go back and watch it now that the page is online. It's a really cool video.

It's reminds me a good deal of an AION like F2P game. Very vibrant colors and magnificent spell effects, that sort of thing. But I still cringe at the thought of grinding, grinding, grinding. But at least in this video it showcases a bit of group play. But hell, it's F2P right, so it's worth trying, assuming I can.
Grinding? Where?
We do not have anything like "kill 200 Wolves" or the like in Runes of Magic.
It's with a certain degree of pride that we can say that Quests and Questlines (including epic Questlines) help players travel through the world, show them the history and ongoing plots of the world and so on.
Of course there are quests like:
-find this item and bring it back
-kill 10 wolves
-investigate those caverns and let me know what's going on
...and so on.
Which MMORPG does not have them?
Oh, wait, right. That's the point, isn't it?
True MMORPGs do have these, F2P don't.
But we do and we're proud to keep it that way: western style.
@Finn: we're in the Closed beta (as you certainly know), so a lot is being changed due to balancing and adjustment.
Thanks to the feedback from the Community, this process goes on quite smoothly.

Welcome to da forums good sir. I really look forward to playing Runes of Magic, as the videos I've saw, and the post where you clarified the non-grinding thing, this game looks like the best F2P I've seen in a while. Really hope I get into closed/open beta, but if I don't.. then I guess I'll just have to wait!
