Oh noes, the AoC CM is invading the WAR forum! Fear not brave forum goers for I have just popped in to provide a small fix while ya all are waiting on open beta.
I've been playing around with the White Lion and yeah, I'm sold. This is a terrific and unique pet class that shines as a solo class, works great in groups, and tosses in some interesting dilemmas in RvR combat.
im def gonna play white lion first, and it looks like ill be going axeman spec, if melee styles are like daoc at all the side and back styles should have some nice stuns snares and such.
The hunter was my main class in WoW, so it was a no brainer to go with this guy (the squig herder just doesn't do it for me). So far, I'm liking the game play. I'm not used to melee attacking people, instead preferring range, but you get used to it after a while.
If you like the hunter in WoW, give this class a try.

The class has an ability called "Cower in fear like a pussy", for hell's sake. There's just no understanding why anyone would play this class.
...and NOW, of course, we're going to here from the half-dozen people who ever bothered to roll one, telling us how awesome the class is. There's only one problem: they're wrong. Sometimes in this world, people are just wrong. And White Lion players are the wrongest of the wrong.
I have been playing a white lion, black orc, zealot, runepriest and bright wizard all up to the 15-20 range and I must say for the most part the white lion far outshines the rest in solo play and in senarios I usually end up 2nd or 3rd overall. must say this class is a good one as long as you know how to play and dont just wanna button mash. solid class overall imo.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion. But you know what they say about opinions: "Opinions are like an like buttholes, everyone has one and they all stink." My Lion would stomp you.
If you think about it, the way this class plays must hugly vary based on play style. Iv read alot of peoples reviews on this class, and as you can see from the posts on this page; there arnt many middle ground reviews. Everyone either loves the class to deaht, or hates it and can't see the point in playing one. The reviews are such polar opposites that it can't come down to the class being good or bad; it's got to be all about what the individual likes, and how the individual likes to play.
