Default Messiah's WotLK Beta Journal - Getting in the Game

The Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK) Beta has been on going for a little while now, and Byron "Messiah" Mudry has been busy exploring the new continent of Northrend. While many of the larger topics that our beta testers run into are explored in guides and editorials, their personal beta journals cover all the smaller issues and details found in the game. In this first journal entry Byron discusses getting acquainted with the expansion through instances, quests and more.

Quote:
After getting off the Coldarra and back to the starting city of Valiance Keep, I started making my way through quests. In WotLK it seems like there are very few quests at first, however as you complete the initial few that are available, more and more appear. It is almost unending. I have gotten close to level 72 and not left the first area and still have a lot to do. Many players have told me that with a few instance runs mixed in they have hit 74 in Borean Tundra alone! Hurray! This means many more options while leveling, since there are more quests than you really need.

Default Messiah's WotLK Beta Journal - Borean Tundra Experience

Byron "Messiah" Mudry surfaces from playing the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK) Beta for long enough this week to provide some information on his exploits in the Borean Tundra. As mentioned in his last journal entry, the zone is ripe with quests and things to do. In this entry the Messiah talks about exploring the area, his retribution spec experience (BIG DPS!), being a fighter pilot, and more!

Quote:
Right at the harbour is a Blacksmith trainer. I have to see what I can make now with all the cobalt ore that I have been collecting. While nothing at low level looks like a replacement for my current gear, my eyes wander down to the higher level gear, which isn't even the top end you will be able to make since it is meant for skill 440/450. WOW!!! Expect Tanks health to go WAY up in the expansion. The two epic pieces that were available from the trainer where a helm and boots, and they had 162 and 120 stamina respectively. That's right, 282 stamina between the two and they are not even the highest end blacksmithing pieces. They also had respectable strength and defense numbers as well.
You can read all about it in Messiah's WotLK Beta Journal - Borean Tundra Experience .

Are there any summaries anywhere for what the professions are starting to look like for WOTLK? The comment about the stamina buff for blacksmiths was a new one.

I'd be interested in seeing how things are looking so I can re-start professions now...
