Studio Lead Dan Elggren, Creative Director Chris Klug, and Technical Director Demetrius Comes team up to offer us a look at a level 18 instance in Stargate Worlds as part of our first look at the game in action. Going beyond the basics examined in Part 1: UI and Tutorial, Dan demonstrates the importance of cover, tactics such as flanking, and much more as the team at Comic Con 2008 shows off the squad-based side of SGW.

Actually I got really excited after watching the video, I think the game has the potential to pull some people to MMO's that normally don't play those types of games, and I think it will pull people from MMO's that are tired of the fantasy thing.

Can't wait.

The discussion around team sizes is really positive. Anyone that's tried to organise a 25 man raid will be very happy with teams of 3 - 5

the way the combat mechanics works and the small groupings it is sure ot be a alot easier to handle grouping/raiding. hoping that the cover systems really pays off. i think dan says anyone can take any mobs down if they use the proper tatics u could solo the entire game maybe :S

It's just important to me that they watched and learned from Tabula Rasa. Sitting behind cover shooting with the 1 and 2 buttons, rinse, repeat. That will get old. I have faith though that they won't make the same mistakes NCSoft made. Tabula Rasa is a very bad thing in SGA, so yea.
