Seriously, if you haven't tried Perfect World, you should The Malaysian English servers are fine, even though they haven't released a fully "English-optimized" North American version yet, the English translation on the Malaysian server is decent enough. In other words....this game is so good, that you won't mind the "Engrish." =D
I was a big naysayer on this game at first, because the registration bothered me with their asking for a "passport" number. I just made one up, thanks to someone's suggestion, and it took it just fine. SINCE THEN, I've been really enjoying this game. I think it's the best f2p that I've played.
I just read your review/first impression of Perfect World. I'll make the comment that I also hate when I have to go to a third party site to download a game. It typically makes me not give it a try.
I did play Perfect World, but only for a couple of weeks. I would have played longer but my kids (who I play with) moved on. I liked the fact that some of the simple and normal fetch quests could level you much faster than just killing the same mobs over and over again. Most of the games I play, seem like endless grind-fests to level up. I found this refreshing and I think more games should reward better for quests. I enjoyed the graphics in game, I liked turning into a tiger and changing my camera to first person perspective and running through the tall grass or attacking mobs. It must have not been enough to keep us (or them), but it was definitely fun. I didn't seem to have any issues with the English translations on the My servers.

Is Mythos basically a Diablo II clone? Are you on that fixed 2.5D perspective view when fighting all of the time? It seems like all the pictures I can find of it are like that. Diablo was fine and all, but I enjoy the immersion of 3D more.

Flagship Studios is working on making it possible to play in the 3d camera angle, but it's not quite there yet. Fun game, though.
I think its awesome WE is on this list. Every one should go and try to get a CB account (just ask in the WE forums, people have some to give away) and start playing today : )

As WE has its NDA, I can only position it on the list based off of what the public can see. It has ambitious features, nice art, and a very involved community manager in Brice Lucas. Those things are all positive enough to put it on my list.
