More than 700,000 accounts have now been registered for Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures. In a recent news story on G4TV.com, Funcom's new flagship title has been getting that World of Warcraft Killer label again. No one can deny the success that AoC has had since launch and in all likelihood that success will continue to grow. Will it kill WoW? Not likely, but at the moment AoC may very well begin to make a push for WoW like numbers in the near future. After all, when WoW launched it didn't have millions, but rather grew into it much like AoC is doing. However, AoC has been taunted as having the highest preorder sales of any PC game in history so that is something to take note of.
Good to hear, even if I didnt enjoy AoC...I am happy that all the work and effort creating this game was not in vain...after all its a homage to Howard.
Hmm ~ 700,000 people bought a $50 game. Now thats a lot of money. Seems to me that they have the resources to solve it's glaring technical issues. Where was the early week patch?

go back to wow
I needed a game like this for long time, Been bored playing wow now nice BC released. Can't wait to see what the future holds for the game.
The crashes I have experienced, have been getting smaller and not as often as the days goes by. One thing I do notice, people that have been crashing, do not know anything about his or hers computer. Then fault this game and others instead of taking personal responsiblity that it may be a technical problem with there own computer.
Not talking about the people having real issues, but in time I think those problems, if any now, will be address shortly in the upcoming days.
already left. most content they promised didnt work or still dosent work. i dont make a habit of paying companies to fix their games after release. they had 5 years to do that.

I am sick and tired how peoples drop the "go back to wow" sentences.
Even if you make valid statements about your opinion, you disqualify yourself with such cheap remarks.
Excellent number and I'm glad they have made some money but I just don't believe those numbers. Sorry, I'm quite the pessimist usually and those numbers just don't sound right too me.
Meh, time will tell and all that. If EA Mythic screws up WAR I might end up in AoC but not until they resolve most of the issues I had with it throughout Technical and then General Beta.

Remember that that is world-wide. AoC had a huge following in Europe.

So did David Hasselhoff...
