Crafting Classes: Cultivation Overview

EA Mythic's recent video blog starring General Manager Mark Jacobs presented a very detailed look at Warhammer Online: Age of Reckonings upcoming crafting system. What exactly will the Cultivating skill bring to the table and how does it work? We've put together a brief overview summarizing it's role in the game, the steps involved in growing weeds/fungi, and what has yet to be revealed.

The Cultivation skill will provide players the ability to grow their own weeds and fungi, which might not sound very exciting, but is necessary for the Apothecary skill. The major benefit of Cultivation is, it can be used almost anywhere and isn't dependent on equipment like forges or worktables that you'd see in other MMO games.

Hmm... well, the article didn't really tell us anything new besides the fact of just how you will cultivate things... in somewhat vague terms... but considering that I will likely be a Cultivating-Apothecary setup Zealot, that's fine with me.

I like the idea of things being a little experimental at first. It will be interesting to see how fast people get guides up.

I hope that people do choose to dabble with experimentation for a while before rushing out to follow some crafting guide.

I'm just looking for pots right now... somewhat lost as I see quite a few vials but haven't found a pot vendor in Audiel area.

edit: Ok, I get it now, up to 25 cultivation and 27 alchemy so far... love that you can do this on the move if you pay attention. GG Mythic!
