Necromancer Class Portal

A new week means new class portals. This week we'll start off by bringing you the Necromancer Class Portal featuring all information necromancer. Necros will want to be sure to bookmark this page as it gets updated.

I am now playing through this class simply because I am intrigued by the ability to spec torwards becoming a lich (it would be great if this would start to reflect on your avatar as you build closer to that spec).

Thus far I am still in the teen levels as of this post, but I am not overly impressed with the pets. They seem to have little in the way of taunting or crowd control abilities and do not make for good protectors of my cloth wearing caster. I am hoping more crowd control options are integrated into these creatures later since nearly every fight becomes a slug fest on my meat puppet avatar. In comparison with other pet based classes (Mastermind: CoV and Hunter: WoW) I find allot of room for improvement with the Necro.

it would be nice if the pets did have a taunt ability it would make it more servivable as well as haveing the root ability last and not brake and the spell that when cast enables you to get the mobs deadhead to fight for you in the next fight if it didnt take so long to cast and start working i have died a few times becouse of this, ie the spell takes a long time befor it activates and starts takeing life from the mobs

as i am new to posts as well new to mmos well not so new to mmos i played EQ lot pirates of the carabean and wow , eve and vanguard... also it would be great if some one would post more on the specs for working to be a lich
