some nice spells but the demons are useless they have no damage to speek of no taunt basically they are useless just some thing cool to look at and to get in your way,i set my demon on a mob and waited without casting or anything and watched the life line of the mob didnt even budge i waited for the mob to get me down to half life befor i attacked it.... come on people this is a mager mager flaw and needs to be fixed every other mmo or plain game out there if you have a pet to do your bidding it has some power to defend you these in this game don't

Quoting myself here from this thread in the Demo forums ...

There does seem to be a general misconception that the summoned demons are 'pets' in a more traditional sense rather than being a 'familiar'.

With pets, it's generally assumed that they'll be able to serve as a personal tank, or at the very least have a substantial amount of dps or some other defining abilities that function somewhat as an extension of your character.

With our demons, you really do just have to look at their role as being a familiar. Their main purpose is to boost our own power, rather than act independently of it. That's why one of their main purposes is to grant specific buffs that will also augment any characters grouped with the Demo.

I can understand what you're getting at though - but at heart the Demo class really fulfills the role of Mage or Wizard more so than what's typically considered a 'pet' class. We're pretty much our own source of power, while the demon is just another tool we use to augment it.

:duck:i think the class is awesome. playing solo i can kill 2 mobs of same level with no difficulty. the main problem is that as a cloth wearer if you are stunned in pvp you are dead. it is obviously a support class with a increadable aoe's.the bottom line is that at lvl 58 i have no regrets in playing the class. and no he is not a guardian so do not try to act as a tank!
