In week 2 of Ralsu's Top Ten Free-to-Play games, some titles climb up while others fall down. Mabinogi makes its debut on the list. How far will it go?

There is a lot to do in Mabinogi, and it is refreshing to have alternate paths for character development.
I was sad when NeoSteam Closed Beta ended. I felt I needed more time with that game. That is a good sign for a F2P title. Anybody else have fun in that Closed Beta?
Added one more paragraph to explain some of the changes since last week's ranking:
Quote:
Notable Changes Since Last Week Magic World Online plummets from #2 to #6 because the weak graphics will scare away many gamers. I maintain that the story is solid, though. NeoSteam climbs into the top 5 after some Closed Beta testing. It is one of the better graphical games on the list and actually makes use of tutorials. Sadly, the translation seems suspect. Mabinogi debuts on the list at #9 and features many different layers of game play.
I'm actually dipping around and looking at some of these F2P games, I've been playing Cabal, and wile the combat is enjoyable and almost facinating, it lacks battle interaction and development in just about every fine point other than combat, as well as heap loading the grind in around lvl 50.
Yeah, it's pretty pathetic, the content is already lacking in alot of areas, but I noticed a sharp increase in grind at 45 in Cabal, and others tell me the grind goes from obnoxious at lvl 50, to unnacceptable close to lvl 90. Which is why I have less and less faith in FTP.
No activity should be unenjoyable in a game, granted some people have different tastes, games designed with bad elements, and stress them in order to push a sale, are just crappy.
You know, GW had some MT, it was a retail game, and you could buy parts of the game online, or full unlock packs of abilities in each chapter, and you could buy additional character slots, and even some bonus equipment. The thing is, it was still a real game, and they were careful not to offer anything significantly advantagious to their shop, equipment was all very basic anyway minus some additional effects, and they mostly sold several versions of access to the game.
I think if MT really wants to grow, they need to get over selling relief for bad elements sown into their games, and learn to offer unique but fair assets which players can enjoy. I mean selling exp gain skills is a clear sign that they don't have a good character development system. They should focus on convenience and attraction, maybe even access, not crappy boost which merit having a bot to play instead of doing it yourself.

Whoa! There a quotation that needs to float about the Internet for a while!
One game I would love to see reviewed and get more information on is Florensia.
Any chances?
I thought that one was still in Closed Beta for European countries only. Right now, the official website is not loading for me. I will keep an eye out.
I tried out a bunch of FTP games while waiting for AoC or WAR..and I have to say Mythos is my favorite.
That is one quality game...I am surprised they aren't going to charge anything to play. This will be Flagships saving grace imho.
