Ralsu brings us a second look at Wonderland Online, a free-to-play game that entered closed beta on April 9, 2008. The latest preview includes combat, player housing, and rescuing damsels in distress:

Since movement in WL uses mouse clicks, I expected combat to be a clickfest, too. I charged at one of the hopping dots, praying to the copy of Baldur's Gate II on my computer shelf that I'd receive divine instructions on how to fight very soon.

Very well written article. You have a lot more fortitude than I do. After my raft broke up on the beach I would have logged out unless a girl then asked me to lood her.

Call me superficial, call me a front-runner fanboi or whatever, while I can appreciate some of the aspects of such a game, I just can't see myself devoting much (if any) time to such an endeavor. My time is precious, well it's not that precious, but I still wouldn't spend it on something like WL (i'll add "in its current state" just so I can come back later).

Again, I'm glad you guys are out there beating the bushes for F2P games that don't suck, but in this case I'd have to say "Keep looking."
