Alrighty, well I'm fairly positive by now that the servers are indeed still segregated by region. In spite of this, my Guild & I are still taking the measures required to get our EU friends on the North American servers with us by shipping them out copies of the NA Client.
My question is, will European credit cards be allowed for billing for US accounts/game time?

I don't think the card address is used for verification. I believe it is just a question of having the right copy of the box with the right account key.
Just to be clear: Will there be forced sever segregation?
I understand there will be different clients depending on the region you live in, but will European players and US players be able to play on the same server?

Yep, they will. It has been stated in your words elsewhere by Funcom (I believe it was in a video). You just have to get the appropriate regional version.

So, what exactly is preventing people from ordering a version of the game from the region they want to play in exactly? Plenty of people are doing this, even a few people in our guild that are in the UK.

Nah was some add years ago where you play with all your friends around the world. They way they said it was basically buy the game and your friends all over the world come and play.
