To me participating in an online role-playing game is a way to connect with a variety of people that share a common interest that would be otherwise impossible outside of the game world. I believe that after the community in Age of Conan starts to level itself out after the first few months, the populace that is left will be able to start something that almost every Massive Multiplayer Online Game today is missing, the “Cheers” effect. There will be a time that I will be able to walk into a city and know the majority of people on a basis that I, personally, haven’t since the glory days of Ultima Online. I will be able to remember the person who destroyed my keep that men poured their blood and sweat into.
Antoine de Saint-Exupery once said, “A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral.” The developers have done a fantastic job of giving us a game where this can, and will happen. I think the community will take what they have given us and mold it into something that they themselves would have never thought achievable. Quests end, bosses falter, buildings crumble, but a community is forever. Brotherhood, Belonging, Bloodlust…these are the reasons I will stay the course.
Why do I think I will play age of Conan for life? Well simply because I love it. My whole life I have grown up interested in Norse culture. In fact I am suppose to be a descent of the Norse. I have collected every single movie, book, picture and any thing that comes out with barbarians and Vikings, Norse lore mythology in them which means I have collected a lot of Conan stuff. I love Conan and I got into it when I was a baby, the first thing I remember in life was actually looking through one of my brother’s comics. My brother collected them and I would constantly steal them and read them.
My band has written music for this game that we plan to make music videos to. Age of Conan is all I breathe, eat and sleep now. My home page is the Conan website. I constantly go to the forums every day and post every day and read every bit of news I can. I dream night after night about the brutal savage dual wielding bad arse barbarian I will make. But I can assure you that I will play this game for the rest of my life. Till I die. This kind of stuff is my life and my blood. In the end I would be happy just getting a beta key because I love this game that much.
I think that I will play Age of Conan for life for a few reason's One being a innovative combat system that will allow me more control over my character and the way I interact in combat . An in-depth raiding system that will give me countless hour's of content to further enhance my character and his ability's . Also a PvP system that should show me some of the most fun and epic scale PvP battle's seen in an MMO to date , Not to mention the ability to attempt to dominate the top battle keeps for all time . The ability to really customize my character to have truly unique character in a genre "MMO's" that really lack's individuality . Mounted combat is also just one more aspect of AoC that is really unique to this game and something that I have never seen in past game’s and just one more thing to keep my interest’s peeked for year’s to come . And last but definitely not least a Mature tag on a game in a MMO culture that tend’s to cater to a young audience will truly be the “icing on the proverbial cake” that has become AoC , And these are just a few reason’s why I think AoC is the game for me for .
Sincerely , Trustno1

Truly one must love gaming to attempt to explain why they want to play one for life. Being an online gamer for almost 11 years now ive tried pretty much all of them. Most wow you with wonderful graphics but 0 content. Others with massive content and polygon graphics. AoC however brings both of these together beautifully. Personally id love to call this game my new home for the rest of my gaming life.
Widely expandable gaming with an abundance of potential to crush all other games, who wouldnt want that? Attention to detail. Nothing rushed in the creation of the game. The anticipation of its arrival is definately worth waiting for. You cant rush perfection..it just happens with time and patience. I cant wait for this to hit retail.
