Default AoC Combat system vs lags

I'd like to ask a little question about the combat system...
In all other MMO's fighting looks like that - "double left click->sometimes use spells/skills -> wait till the mob dies". The biggest revolution of AoC is the awesome combat system that I totally love...but im afraid of one thing.
In other MMO's even if you'r lagging you can pretty much grind the same way that others do because you dont need to do anything while fighting(just click and wait, you can lag like hell but the character still attacks).
Wont the AoC combat system make it impossible to play for people with slow internet connection ? Its the gamer that will carry out every attack so if he gets even slight lag...it may ruin a combo/make it even impossible to fight.

Im sorry if this question has been answered already (didnt find it tho) and for my poor english

We have successfully played Age of Conan in laggy convention centers sharing bandwidth on international servers in Norway from the West Coast. So the game is playable. Of course there are limits to how much lag a game can compensate for, but with the use of localized servers I think gamers in general will find their experience to be good. Lag issues are more noticeable in PvP when everyone moves as much as possible to be evasive, in PvE since mobs tend to be more stationary once they have engaged you it's hardly noticed.
