So with so many people already leaving Aion I'm curious as to why others have said - I still play Aion and have no plans to change that.
For me it's a combination of enjoying the play style (I rather like the grind, but I am a lover of Everquest so...) and I found a good/nice legion of people to hang around with.
Along with new friends and the fact that I just like the style, IMO, its the best game on the market that I haven't grown bored of yet. Aion is it for me until something better comes along.
I like the way the classes play. The only class I dont like is Ranger... if they could do something about questing and make it as fun as the classes, then it would be good.

I want to see the group content. That is what I enjoy most about MMO's (I could care less about the pvp).
Everyone I am playing with is taking their time, and we are trying not to burn ourselves out. I ended up getting a few lvls ahead so I am kind of in a holding pattern waiting for everone else to catch up for the next instance.

Well, from the time I spent in Aion, the PvE group content was lackluster and very boring after a few runs. The meat of the game is group PvP, cause you will not survive any PvP solo, at least every time I encountered PvP it was me being steamrolled by a legion of Elyos...never 1-on-1!
I stay because I love new content to grind through (the grind style is so much like Myth of Soma and I loved that), the group PvP keeps me going as I'm in a good English legion that has regular Lolios hunt sessions and I also really enjoy the crafting system. Though nobody seems to be buying my blues.
I agree with Beer. For some reason he's the only other person (besides myself) that seems to enjoy the crafting in Aion. Other than that the game is still fun to play.
I also agree with other posts that the PvE content is lackluster at best, which is disappointing since I'm not a very big PvPer, but it's never been a secret that the original PvE content was mostly tank and spank.
My faith is in NCSoft's statement that they intend to make dynamic PvE encounters moving forward and I'm eager to see how that turns out. Right now I am playing so that I can experience some of the newer places that I have high expectations for, such as Steel Rake, Dark Poeta and the Dreadgion. If they turn out to be notsogood then I will probably cancel my subscription and hang up my MMO hat once and for all.
I dont like crafting because it costs too damn much. I dont want success and fail when mats cost so much. This isnt EQ. And it also takkes too long to level it up. I think someone on Aionsource noted that it cost like 3mil just to get it to 399 skill. Thats just ridiculous. Some people had a craft all the way up to 400 or whatever a week or so after launch which I found fishy.

I have to agree, I like the system, but not the cost. I was leaving me broke trying to lvl it and craft things for myself. Instead of takign a chance on getting a blue, it was cheaper for me to just go ahead and by the Worthy Greens from the broker.

Exactly! You end up spending more trying to get a breen or a blue item making it yourself than you do just buying one from someone else... and then the ridiculous broker fees that seem to arbitrarily set fees is just as bad as trying to make the thing in the first place.
