WAR Career Preview Video with Adam Gershowitz: The Disciple of Khaine

Part healer, part savage warrior the Disciple is a class to be feared in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. This brand new class is not currently part of the Warhammer lore, but promises to bring dark power to those willing to play it. Ten Ton Hammer recently visited EA Mythic's studios and got a great video demo of the Disciple and what it's capable of. Lead Character Artist Adam Gershowitz and Associate Producer Josh Drescher walk us through how this class came about and what role it has in the Warhammer Online world. Who better to explain than the folks who created it right?

Glad you guys got to see a Destruction class as well. Hearing about all the different types of heals is also pretty impressive. I must ask though, is there any chance you guys asked to see the super awesome Goblin Shaman?

Very Vampirish. I'm interested in seeing the Archmage now. It seems like everytime I look at the classes they get better which is good and bad. It shows that the game is getting better but means I'm going to have to have a lot of alts... tisk tisk. Who to make first?

Well, that was entertaining!

In part, since we got a glance at the Swordmaster previously, and also because the Disciple of Khaine is just such a... different... Healer than normal.

I think they did pretty darn well considering they just yanked this out of the air and put it in the game. The healers are really starting to impress me.

One thing I noticed (or at least thought I noticed) was a general overall improvement in just flat out video quality in what they were doing. I doubt that the videos they are showing off are the final animations/textures but it is starting to look damn pretty.

Absolutely. One of the prime examples I saw was the Bright Wizard's flame breath. In the original animation it looked rather weak and overall pathetic but after they added more color and lighting it's beautiful. Not sure the website has some videos of the improvement but youtube does.
