Age of Conan Art Book Preview: Spell Effects

Even in its low-fantasy setting, magic plays a pretty big role in Age of Conan. One of the things often taken for granted in various games, but also highly appreciated when done well, is the graphical depiction of spell casting. In this Art Book Preview we get a small taste of some concept images for some various spells in the game. Keep in mind these are concepts and some of the spells may or may not be in game at launch. All of these images are just a small taste of what is included in the Art Book that ships with the Collector's Edition of the game.

Those concepts are awesome but that's impossible to make that near as good in the game. A melee would soil his pants if he sees a caster doing such spells.

Not impressed... Lightning always looks weak to me in MMORPGs, and this is no exception.

That's why I always choose fire

Personally, the flashier spells are the more I like them, so I'm all for cool spell effects.
