"If you are as excited about Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning as we are, there is exciting news from EA Mythic. Recently they officially announced the collector's edition of this highly anticipated MMOG, which is stuffed with so many goodies it easily weighs more than 3 or 4 average PC game boxes. Coming in at an unprecedented $80.00 it won't be cheap, but as you'll see below it promises not only some interesting collectibles, but exclusive in game content as well. Unlike most collector's editions, this one is actually limited to a small production run, so if you like what you see, get in your order as soon as possible. Keep reading to see exactly what you'll receive with your purchase."

I preordered my copy of the CE this morning on the Gamestop website but did not receive any promo codes within the email confirmation. Has anyone else preordered from Gamestop online and not received their codes yet?
Anyone know what difference the "Chance for" rings will make for pve? I preordered from Gamestop so I think that means I have the earth elemental ring. Would hate to gimp the freebie just for not knowing what does what.
I always make sure not to claim my stuff right away.... I'm sure they'll talk more about it over the next few months. This content has to be tested in beta...right?
Yeah i ordered mine from gamestop this morning too and havent recieved any additional emails yet with game codes either..
Also wondering how its going to work with letting you "start early"...
Starting early is usually a 24 hour or 48 hour head-start on everyone else. In previous MMO's this meant accounts made with a CE CD-key (say that 10 times fast) went active before the rabble accounts did. The benefit to EA Mythic is that their server-load from the influx is lessened slightly.
Closed beta membership should increase tremendously with the beta codes being included in 1/5 of the Warhammer comics being released in April. I'm guessing that's when the CE beta codes will also become active. No source, just speculation.
I also pre ordered and paid in full my collectors ED. No codes from EB games where I get all my games from. The guys said their records show a delivery date of round Oct 14, 2008. They also said sense this was a just today thing, that is probably why no codes are ready. I mean, open beta and early start are not even set for a official day yet. So they said to just check in every week on Tuesdays cause that is when they get updated info on beta codes and stuff. So at least we know the specifics of things. And in time our promo codes will be ready. Oh, and with only 60K copies being shiped to the USA, those who want collectors, best get on it!
I'm willing to spend the money to get it, I would rather get some opinions first...
If I am to get this Collector's Edition, it will solely be for in-game aspects:
I.E. Additional quests, heads, items....a head start.
I think the art book and graphic novel are both interesting, and I would definitely take a look, however that's not what I would look forward to. Nor do I play the table-top game, so the figure (unpainted and unassembled) would probably be given to the local toy soldiers store, a friend, eBay, etc...
I was more concerned with, do you think the in-game items will be a big enough deal that they will provide much of a benefit, a bit of fun, or just a degree of flashiness?
-Obviously they won't be much of a large benefit over other players, I was thinking more along the lines of decreasing downtime, increasing experience gain, etc...
So I'm basically asking for some opinions on buying the CE, only for the in-game aspects.
