Grouping comes second nature to some people, but it can be a real challenge making a good impression for newcomers and those unfamiliar with proper etiquette. To aid the community in making a good impression with their fellow group members, we have put together this little list to aid in making a good impression. While you might not have the chance to put this in practice for AoC at the moment, you can use it in other Massively Multi-player Online Games while you wait for the virtual gates of Hyboria to open.

Forming groups for difficult content is a common practice in Massively Multi-player Online Games (MMOG). For some people this is an easy task, but for others, making a good impression can be a bit more difficult. There are many things you can do to make a lasting impression on future groups in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventure and any other MMOG you might be playing in the meantime. Making a good impression on your fellow group members will not only earn you a chance to be invited to groups with them in the future, but also provide you with a positive view in the eyes of the community. All you have to do is follow these simple tips.
You can read the full story here.
Feel free to share your grouping tips with us here.

Good "Rules of the Road" checklist. Imagine if everyone you met in game followed these!

Exactly and someone may take shots at me for posting common knowledge content with my own ideas (Again ) but I think it is good to keep these ideas in mind for players both new and old.

Well, like you said, at least that guy rescinded his comments once he actually read the last article and realized it wasn't copy-paste.
But yeah, sometimes people are pretty durn fast to jump the gun.
Heck, I remember a post of some bloke stating no one should read content at Ten Ton Hammer cuz it's all lies. He backed up his theory by pointing out a typo in a date somewhere.
Was good times.

For the most part I try to group with guildies. I'm not afraid of PUGs, as I've had really good experiences with them. I've also had a few "Did that just happen?" moments in PUGs as well.
If it's a PUG I start up anyone that proves to violate any of common courtesy rules I usually ask them to stop in a polite way once, then I apply the boot technique. If it's a group I have joined, unless it gets drastically out of hand, I usually soldier through until we accomplish our main goal, then excuse myself from the group.

Very nice post. I especially liked number 1: Don't be greedy. I had a friend that was part of our hardcore group for years and one time won 10 rolls IN A ROW. He was a friend and a good guy, but after that night no one ever went out of their way to invite him again.
Martuk, what will be interesting is to see how many of your rules (which are standard in most MMO's) will apply in Conan. On the official forums I have seen a trend where people are looking to forsake many commonly accepted rules because of the dark and violent nature of AoC.
My guess is that guilds will police their own, but casual guilds and Pugs are going to be worse than normal because there will be less carebears floating around in Conan than most other games.
