Age of Conan Prestige Classes / Class Merger Announcement Video

When the news broke that Age of Conan may not be including their prestige classes in the game, the AoC community came alive with comments about why this had happened and what the situation would be in the game with the prestige classes removed. The Ten Ton Hammer staff was well aware of the desire of the AoC community to hear the words from the mouth of the Game Director himself, so we took our video of the event, found the clip, and posted it for you to see! i think its always risky where you let one aspect of gameplay, such as the choice of which crafter class you want, dictate bonus' to a combat role. Especially one that is so full min/maxing such as PvP/Battleground combat. Even with their decision to turn the prestige class into a "salad bowl" of picking and choosing what you want will just probably lead to FoTM templates as we've seen in games of MMO's past.

I'm also envision the social aspect of how raider's behave with choices like this, "you can't join our guild unless you've taken XX and YY prestige classes and have max points in ZZ ability", as those are usually the most unbalancing in combat at that point in time. I'm sure you've all seen that happen.
