Players who have been holding off on trying out the world of Lineage II may now have a concrete reason to jump into the game. With NCsoft's release of the latest L2 expansion, a new race and starting area have been added to the game, making it a prime opportunity for new players to actually learn about the world side by side with experienced players. Cody "Micajah" Bye took notice of NCsoft's efforts to bring new players back into the world, so he sat down with the latest expansion and gave it a solid initial play-through. He's taken just enough time away from his play sessions to bring you his first impressions review, where he covers improvements to the new player experience, the new race, his initial foray into the wild, and more!

I can't stress this enough:
WHY DO YOU REVIEW A GAME YOU DIDN'T PLAY???
I don't mean not played at all, but in order to make a review of a sequel you kave to know the prior versions. I mean keltirs?, elpys? They were there since Chronicle 3.
Soulshots???? They were there since I can remember. (around C3)
The help system? Old as time.
If you wanted to say something about kamael and not l2 in general you could say something about the improved radar (minimap). It now shows mobs/npcs near you and also depicts the geographical map as oposed to the black radar in prior versions.
Also new in kamael are new armor sets, new weapons. (AKA Destiny)
The list can go on and on with graphical improvements and game mechanics.
Really Kamael is a fresh breath in the world of lineage 2 and a lot more could be said about it, not just keltir, elpys and soulshots.
I find this review totally sloppy and made in a hurry. But it's just my humble opinion.a

no1 will trust your reviews if he read lineage review...
there r some final goals on the game and there are many paths to achieve them.
u need at ask ppl , search on the net, read about the game, use in game guides etc.this is the most facinating thing on lineage..
CT1 kamael made the game more challenging coz u dont need to "beat" the npc..u need to beat other players , to organise your team to learn to cooparate better etc...developers know that and tent to "corect" the game day by day.
there is not a more complete game than lineage atm....

That's why this was a first impressions review - it's just the beginning of my experience in the game. On top of that, I think I also stated int he review that I hadn't played the game since a few weeks after the initial launch. If I didn't it's my mistake, but you're right - there is more than keltir, elpys, and soulshots.
Lineage 2 while having the best graphics of any mmorpg atm Still is no different then when I started in Open beta and through C5
GRIND is a nightmare and making money is impossible unless you bot
about 90% run bots. This isnt talking about the farmers. If it wasnt for the farmer base, it would be a VERY empty game.
NCSOFT knows this and if they did ban the botters JUST the farmers bot they would have little people playing.
Ncsoft annouced horrible US sales when the game launched and to date they havent even broke 300,000 sold in the US. This can be found on a ncsoft site. I was shocked they sold so few I expected atleast half a million.
ANYONE who has played lineage, least from OPEN BETA has had to buy adena. Few will admit but we all bought adena at once time or another.
Lineage 2 isnt even available here in Michigan as far as I know. BESTBUY hasnt moved a single unit in several months. Least the ones around me.
NCSOFT claims 15-17 million active accounts?
10 US/euro servers which are always LOW population, I havent seen ones locked in many years now.
And 10 servers will NOT hold the numbers they claim. As far as I know EVE has the ONLY server that can handle 100,000s of thousands
LINEAGE2s servers will NOT handle that many but if they would 100,000x10
and we all know lineage 2 most like barley can hit 5-7000 people ( and i honestly think that is lower ) and 75% are farmers
I know there are asian servers and they do add a few millions but to date most of the gaming world doesnt even notice Lineage 2 for much of anything special player numbers.
Most if not ALL gaming anything knows who has the most active PAID accounts. The haters can hate but cant argue the math.
I loved lineage 2 for years, but after being hacked and being blamed for it and I only used my computers had no keyloggers and NO one used my accounts and it was still my fault they wouldnt even check in to it, And then many of who got hacked at the same time foudn out it was from within ncsoft and same thing it was OUR FAULTS.
Lineage 2 IMO could have been a GREAT GAME, but with zero customer support and services no matter what the problem. ANd from everyone I know who has played L2 says the same thing NCSOFT doesnt care about their people.
Hell I ran a private lineage 2 server for a little over a year and made good money.....good service = good money
If I ever met a ncsoft gomer in person I will bitch slap their little asses just for being the little bitch boys they are.....just go look at ncsofts videos...and you wonder why they make ALL their female toons so slutty.....geekie, gomer koreans, WILLIAM HUNG types cept HUNG did get laid lol most of them wont unless its with their L2 t00ns
Yes I am very angry at ncsoft, and if I ever meet up with them I will show them what a pissed off PAID account customer can do....
