I hate daylight savings time. I really do.

I went onto a timezone converter site to convert from US EST to Aus EST. It said the JGE Dev chat would start 10am friday morning for me.

I log in at 9:45am and everybody's just leaving and saying "thx for the beta keys"

God help the people who invented and implemented daylight savings time, if I ever meet them.

In the meantime, I think I'll be heading back to Mass Effect and Escape Velocity Nova.

Yeah DST needs to be gotten rid of, its a completely pointless annoyance now. Perhaps it was necessary back in the early 1900s (when, I believe it was invented), but not so much now.
I mean really, Michigan isnt magically going to get more daylight in the fall just because were moving our clocks back an hour. Thats like telling me that the earth is getting hotter, when all the other planets in the system are getting colder. :p

It's ok, the toothfairy, santa and the easterbunny are real. You just have to be really drunk to see them.

But I don't drink and I still see them...
is that weird? Do you think I could get away with saying I have an over active imagination? Or do you think they'll just send me to crazy camp..

I don't mind the idea of getting rid of DST all together. It would be kinda weird seeing daylight breaking at 3:30 am though on summer days.

I'd vote for that. If our society becomes wholly agrarian again, I'd be willing to consider putting it back into effect.

Grats on the big 101 :D Cheers for quoting me in the sig, adds to my forum ego :P

With GMT (UK Time) being both the time zone that others are generally calculated by and furthermore the current "Standard time" it would make sense. Who cares if the sun rises at 6am~ish and sets at 6pm~ish give or take a few hours for seasons, latitudinal distance from the equator and terrain/weather. Being able to convey times around the world with no conversion required would be convenience enough.

Same goes with cash and language (and no I dont want english to be the world standard language, it's full of insane redundancies and is one of the slowest spoken languages around. )

Fox's annual Teen Choice Awards announced the nominees for this summer's honors, with a mix of tween staples and adult fare in the running to win the surfboard trophies.

Twilight leads with 12 nominations, in categories including Choice Movie: Romance and Choice Movie: Drama. Stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were nominated as a pair for Choice Movie: Liplock, as well as in individual acting categories.

Gossip Girl, High School Musical 3: Senior Year and Miley Cyrus bit at Twilight's heels with ten nominations each, including nods for cast members. The Jonas Brothers, who host the awards this year, scored nine, including Choice Move: Music/Dance and Choice TV: Breakout Show. American Idol trails close behind, with seven nominations.

Joining Gossip among small-screen nominees are 90210, House, Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Secret Life of the American Teenager.

What does this have to do with Voon?
